The Association provides Regular Full-Time Employees who are eligible to request a medical leave of absence without pay, for employees who are temporarily unable to perform their job due to a serious health condition or disability apart from an injury on the job.
The Association provides to eligible employees a family leave of absence without pay under the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), to take time from their work duties to fulfill family obligations due to a serious health condition of a spouse, parent, child or other related concerns such as, but not limited to, childbirth, adoption, placement of a foster child or next of kin of a current member of the Armed Forces, including National Guard, or Reserves with serious injury or illness.
Under the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) a military leave of absence will be granted for employees who are absent from work due to service in the U.S. uniformed services with partial pay for two-weeks training assignments and shorter absences. The employee will be paid the difference between their normal base compensation and the pay received while on military duty (not including expense pay) with military pay verification data.
The Association will not discriminate against any employee who request a leave of absence for medical disabilities associated with pregnancy. Requests will be evaluated in accordance with the medical leave policy provisions in the Employee Handbook and all applicable federal and state laws.
The Association may reimburse your tuition for course(s) that advance your career within the Association, to help you grow. The course or courses must be maintained at a “B” or better on all courses taken and be part of a degree, licensing or certification program related to the current job or a higher-level position within the Association to qualify.
